Wellbeing Walks

We will be running an autumn series of our Wellbeing Walks at Leeds Dock, together with Active Leeds and Leeds Dock Active Group. The walks will be an opportunity to get some fresh air and exercise in the middle of the day, and are for anyone who lives and/or works in the Leeds Dock area. Whether you’re working from home, working in one of the offices or businesses, or on your day off, this will be a great way to meet other people in the Leeds Dock community and find out about what’s going on at Leeds Dock.

We will be meeting at 12.30pm in Armouries Square on the following dates:

  • Thursday 26 October,
  • Thursday 09 November,
  • Thursday 23 November,
  • Thursday 07 December, and
  • Thursday 21 December.

We’ll walk for around half an hour before stopping at Fearns (in Department) to share the rest of our lunch break together.

Leeds Dock can be most easily accessed from Armouries Drive, and there are different walking routes we can take depending on the different physical needs and abilities of people in the group. If you would like to come but have questions about how easily accessible the walk may be for you, please contact David.

Additional information:

At Leeds Sanctuary, we value the mental and physical wellbeing of every individual. With this in mind, a Mental Health First Aider (David) will be available for a conversation if you would like one.

Like many organisations, we like to take photos and sometimes short videos so that we can showcase the work we’re doing in our various digital and print communications. If you would prefer not to be in any photos, please let us know by email or during the session, and we will ensure that you are not featured.

If you’re interested to hear more about the value of walking and being outside, listen to our podcast episode with the CEO of Ramblers, Ross Maloney, who offers us his perspective on The Great Outdoors.
