Politics, Power and Protest: The Suffragette History of Leeds

We’re excited to share the details of our upcoming Sketch Walk, “Politics, Power and Protest: The Suffragette History of Leeds”, which will take place on the anniversary of The Parliament (Qualification of Women) Act.

The walk will be hosted by our Interim Social Justice Lead, Emma Temple, and led by local artist and historian, Clifford Stead, who will be diving into the history of the suffragette movement in Leeds, and reflecting on the rights of women and girls in the city today while sketching key areas in the city centre.

The walk will begin at Leeds Art Gallery (LS1 3AA) at 5.30pm on Thursday the 21st of November, and will be wheelchair accessible. To book your place, please visit Ticketsource.
