Identity – A Visual Prayer Prompt

This beautiful artwork lives on the wall as you walk into the office we share with Leeds Church Institute at 43 The Calls. It was made by Shaeron Caton Rose, who wrote the meditations and curated/ contributed the artwork for our book, Everyday Sacrament.

Praying Hands by Shaeron Caton Rose

For many of us, the ways we use our hands and indeed, our bodies, are an indicator of the roles we have, which form part of our identity. Find a quiet moment and take some time to think about how you’ve used your body today, and what that means to you as you consider your identity. Or perhaps there is something you know you are called to which isn’t part of your life right now. Is there anything you can do to change that?

If you appreciate this artwork, you’ll no doubt enjoy our book, Everyday Sacrament. Head to our online store to learn more and order your copy.
