The Leeds Sanctuary Podcast: Justice – International Conflict and Local Communities

Thanks for choosing the Leeds Sanctuary podcast! This is our “Justice” stream, and in this special episode, Anna was joined by Simon Philips, Interfaith Director for the Jewish Representative Council and Vice-Chair of Leeds Faith Forum, and Kaneez Khan, Interfaith and Communities Coordinator for Wellsprings Together. Simon and Kaneez each share how the current conflict in Gaza is affecting faith communities here in Leeds, and they also reflect on the value of interfaith relationships and events, perhaps now more than ever. This is not a conversation about the events in Gaza, rather an opportunity to hear from local people about how this is affecting people in our city.

In life and faith, we value and appreciate different perspectives, and encourage you to consider what your perspective is too. If anything in this podcast gets you thinking, you’d be more than welcome to get in touch with us for more information or a conversation.

We also recognise that the subject of this episode can be challenging and distressing to contemplate. Our Soundcloud page hosts a wealth of meditations which you might find helpful – please do look back through the catalogue.
