Flourishing

Wellbeing Course

Leeds Sanctuary are delighted to be running their unique Wellbeing Course in January 2023. We’ll be creating a space for reflection and discussion where all who attend can consider what good wellbeing could look like them for them.

The 4-week course will begin on Thursday 19 January on the topic of “Mind-Body-Spirit: Healthy Foundations”, with the remaining sessions focusing on “Rainy Days & Mondays: flourishing in tough times”, “All you need is love: finding our tribe”, and “Cheesemakers, Parrots and Spam: the serious business of joy and fun”.

Each session will take place at North Star Coffee Shop at Leeds Dock (LS10 1PZ) from 7-8.30pm, and will be run by David, Anna and/or Sam from the Leeds Sanctuary team.

North Star Coffee Shop is an accessible venue, and can be accessed with ease from Armouries Drive. If you’re walking from Leeds City Centre, Leeds Dock is approximately 12 minutes walk from Leeds Bus Station (directions can be found here) or a few minutes by bus if you want a brief reprieve from the cold! (Find a route here).

Head to Eventbrite to book your place on this free course.

At Leeds Sanctuary, we value the mental and physical wellbeing of every individual. With this in mind, our staff have all completed Mental Health First Aid training and are available for a conversation if any challenging topics arise during a session.

Like many organisations, we like to take photos and sometimes short videos so that we can showcase the work we’re doing in our various digital and print communications. If you would prefer not to be in any photos, please let us know by email or during the session, and we will ensure that you are not featured.
