Leeds Craftivists on Climate Migration

We’ve all seen the news. Migration is a contentious subject right now, with politicians sadly promising to “stop the boats”. We want the UK to be a safe place for those who need one most. Our focus is climate justice. The climate crisis is already forcing people to flee their homes due to flood and famine, and this will only get worse as the crisis continues to unfold.

We’re joining local groups like Asylum Matters to ask Leeds City Council to become a Council of Sanctuary. We believe everyone has the right to live in safety and we want Leeds to be a place where all can flourish.

Want to join in?

Gather with us on Mondays 06 November and/or 04 December at the City Centre Climate Hub in Imagine Leeds, 11 Albion Street, 7th Floor, LS1 5ES, as we discuss the campaign more and craft together. You can RSVP here.

The Climate Hub is accessible from Albion Street and there is a lift up to the 7th floor. If you would like to come to this meeting but are concerned about accessibility, please contact Anna to chat this through.
